GOLD with Smart Link+, WISE Water and Chiller/heat pump
Combines SMART Link+ and WISE Water functionality to optimize water temperature across all consumers, maximizing energy savings from room to roof.
Main functionality
This system includes both SMART Link+ and WISE Water functionality with the possibility to connect up to 9 GOLD units and 1 SuperWISE, or 8+2 combinations. Swegon chillers and heat pumps act as producers, while GOLD and SuperWISE serve as consumers. The system optimizes water temperature across room and system levels, keeping valves open to maximize energy efficiency. TCP/IP connections simplify setup, with full functionality managed through GOLD IQ-logic, IQ-Navigator, and SuperWISE.
Added Value
- This function makes it possible to combine water temperature optimization for all consumers in a system, both on system and room level
- Saves energy (2-3%/K) by optimizing the water temperature based on actual need, keeping the coil valve and chilled beam valves as open as possible at all time
- Easy connection with TCP/IP cable between GOLD, SuperWISE and Swegon CH/HP/Multifunctional (defined IP-addresses)
- Modulates the water temperature to suit the load, so that the compressor runs more efficiently.
How it works
The flow chart above shows the schematics of the SMART Link+, WISE Water and Chiller/heat pump function. A couple of things to consider:
- SuperWISE collects the valve position from all room products, to calculate the average water temperature need at room level
- Each AHU collects the valve position from their respective H/C coils to calculate the needed water temperature.
- The chiller/heatpump collects the requests from all consumers and produces the water temperature equal to the consumer that has the highest need.
Technical details
- Same functionality as for both SMART Link+ and WISE water separately.
- All “consumers” sends in their water temperature request to the “producer” (the chiller/heat pump), regardless if it is an air handling unit, or SuperWISE
- The chiller/heat pump produces the highest/lowest temperature that is needed to keep all “consumers” satisfied
