Privacy policy – Swegon Inside

The EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) entered into force on 25 May 2018. In accordance with the GDPR, personal data must be processed in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner in relation to the data subject. Accordingly, an important part of the protection of your privacy is to inform you about the processing of your personal data.

As a data controller, Swegon Operations Aktiebolag, Reg. No. 556077-8465, Frejgatan 14, 535 30 Kvänum, Sweden (“Swegon”), is responsible for processing of personal data relating to your use of the App. We hereby wish to inform you about how your personal data will be processed by us.

Personal data processed by Swegon

We collect and process the personal data you, or the Company, provides to us for the purpose of giving you access to the App. This includes your name and email. The legal basis for the processing of this personal data is to fulfil our obligation to provide the App to you in accordance with the Terms set out above.

Transfer of personal data

We observe great caution when transferring your personal data and take appropriate security measures. Swegon may transfer your personal data (a) to group companies, for the purpose of IT system management; (b) to IT suppliers, to enable us to provide the App to you; (c) due to business transactions, if all or part of Swegon’s operations are sold or integrated with any other business, operation or company, your personal data may be disclosed to our advisors, potential buyers and their advisors, and be transferred to the new owners of the operation; or (d) due to legal obligations, for the purpose of the Swegon’s compliance with certain legal obligations it may be transferred to the Police and other relevant public authorities when permitted and required by law.

The transfers mentioned above can only be made to companies in the EU or EEA (i.e. all EU member states, Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein), or other countries or international organisations that ensure an adequate level of protection.

Under certain circumstances, personal data may be transferred to countries outside of the EU/EEA. When such transfers are carried out, we take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal data is adequately protected and that the processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy. We will ensure that at least one of the following conditions are fulfilled in relation to each of those transfers:

  • the receiving country ensures an adequate level of protection;
  • we have collected your consent prior to the transfer;
  • an agreement including certain standard contractual clauses issued by the European Commission (e.g. 2010/87/EU) have been entered into between Swegon and the recipient, without any conflicting changes or amendments; or
  • the recipient has adopted binding corporate rules for the processing which have been approved by the relevant supervisory authority and the recipient of the personal data in the third country is bound by these rules.

Retention of personal data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary in order to fulfil the purposes of the processing. In this context, this means as long as you are registered as a user of the App.

Your rights

You have the right to request information about the personal data concerning you that Swegon processes, in what ways the personal data are used, from where they have been collected and to which recipients or groups of recipients the personal data have been disclosed or transferred. In addition, you may request that personal data concerning you are corrected, provided that the personal data processed are incomplete or inaccurate. In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to request that your personal data are erased or that the processing of your personal data is restricted. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and to request that your personal data are transmitted in a machine-readable format.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Please note that the terms of the privacy policy may be changed or amended. Any new version will be published in the App.
